  • In order to actualize Dr Ambedkar’s vision of an egalitarian and enlightened society, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University was established on 10th Jan 1996. In essence, all the academic, research, and out-reach programmes of BBAU, including the University’s Act and Statutes, are informed by Dr Ambedkar’s basic philosophy of making education the tool for a holistic socio-cultural transformation that first addresses the aspirations of the most deprived section of our society.
  • Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University is a fairly well-spread, student-centric Institute, with more than 4800 students enrolled in a broad range of graduate, post-graduate & doctorate programs including several professional schools. • BBAU is the front runner in many aspects from last two years. With an unwavering commitment to academics, and the heightened realization that this is no ordinary time for higher education, BBAU is determined to grasp the extraordinary opportunities available to it by introducing innovation, accelerating growth and setting higher targets for achievements, both in academics as well as infrastructure development.
